Walk & Talk Volunteer (CSVA)

The National Childbirth Trust (CSVA)

Are you passionate about supporting new parents and building a welcoming community? Do you love the idea of combining physical activity with friendly conversation?

Then we want to hear from you!

At NCT, we're dedicated to helping parents feel confident, connected, and safe as they embark on their parenting journey.

Our local groups and activities are the heart of what we do, and our Walk & Talk sessions are an easy and accessible way to bring parents together.

They're a fantastic opportunity for parents to get active, meet others, and have someone to talk to in a relaxed and supportive environment.

As a Walk & Talk Volunteer, you'll play a vital role in creating an inclusive and friendly space for parents in your area.

You'll either set up a brand-new Walk & Talk group or help support an existing one.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and leading engaging Walk & Talk sessions.
  • Advertising your Walk & Talk to ensure parents know about this fantastic opportunity.
  • Attracting and welcoming new participants, making everyone feel at ease.
  • Ensuring all events are welcoming, inclusive, and safe by following NCT guidance.
  • Collecting and sharing information about the positive impact you're making on parents' lives.
  • Promoting NCT's values and vision within your local community.
