Join our team of Volunteer Drivers in Lightwater and make a big impact with small journeys. Whether it’s a quick trip to the doctor, dentist, post office, or library—or helping collect shopping—your time and smile could mean the world to someone. There's no need to commit regularly—even a half hour here or there helps a resident stay independent and connected.

This is a flexible, local opportunity where your car and kindness bring comfort to people who are often isolated or lonely.

What skills do I need?

You’ll need a friendly, approachable manner, a valid driving licence, and a willingness to help others. Patience and compassion are key, especially when supporting older or vulnerable clients. A genuine smile goes a long way!

A good driving knowledge of local area is useful and patience to support clients.
