Treasurer

The Victoria Almshouses (VASE)

The Victoria Almshouses is a registered charity that has two sites, one in Reigate with 24 dwellings and one in Redhill with 10 bungalows.  The charity provides accommodation for elderly residents who have a close association with the Borough of Reigate & Banstead, who have a housing need and inadequate financial resources to house themselves.  Residents have to be able to live independently and are responsible for paying a Maintenance Contribution(MC) towards the costs of maintaining and repairing the properties.

The Charity is administered by a Board of Trustees (Governors) and two sub-committees responsible for Welfare and Fabric & Finance.  Meetings are held quarterly.

The Board is supported by a full time Manager who lives on site at Reigate and the Clerk, a part time role.

We are seeking a trustee with accounting / financial skills to take on the role of Hon. Treasurer after the current Treasurer's retirement.
