Stay and Play Volunteer - Woodhatch

The community centre at Woodhatch Community Centre run weekly stay and play sessions (age 2 - 5) for play and socialising. We are looking for volunteers to support these sessions, help set up the play areas, organise the snacks and engage with the grandparents and children who attend.

Duties Include: welcoming and interacting with Parents/Guardians, help setting up the class, managing story time and the singing session, help serve ‘snack time’ and clear away at the end. 

Each class is already planned in advance with all the equipment supplied and ready for each session. Our expectation would be for the volunteer to eventually lead the session once they are comfortable to do so.

What skills do I need?

Strong interpersonal skills and happy to chat to adults and children.

Strong team player, happy to work with staff and other volunteers.

Monday Morning 10am to 12pm, or; Wednesday Morning 10am to 12pm, or; Wednesday Morning 10:45am to 1pm
