School Librarian

Horley Infant School (VASE)

Horley Infant School has the most beautiful library ever - it's enough to make Matilda squeal with delight! Located at the heart of our school, the enormous artificial tree is a symbol that reading and books can grow your mind and take small ideas from the form of a tiny acorn to the strongest oak.

Our library opens at 3pm every Friday and we are looking for a friendly and committed individual to help us keep the library in top-top shape and to ensure the children are able to borrow books and return them on a regular basis.  Our librarian would be in school from 2:30 - 3:30 every Friday during term-time to keep the shelves filled with glorious books and then support the children with scanning their books in/out in readiness for a weekend of nose-diving into a book.

The school librarian would use 'Libresoft' which is a simple and easy-to-use library software to keep track of the books loaned / returned and this comes with training and support.

* Please note, we are only able to process new volunteering applications during term time.
