Join Our Ashford Charity Shop Team – Retail Volunteers Needed!

Would you like to make a difference in your community while gaining experience in a friendly retail setting? Woking and Sam Beare Hospices urgently need Retail Volunteers to support their busy charity shop on Church Road, Ashford, which is open Monday to Saturday, 10am – 5pm.

Whether you’re looking to build confidence, meet new people, or give back to a meaningful cause, this flexible role is a great way to get involved.

What you’ll be doing:

• Sorting and preparing donated items, including clothes, toys, and bric-a-brac
• Keeping the shop floor clean, tidy, and welcoming
• Assisting customers at the till with purchases and enquiries
• Supporting with backroom tasks like pricing and organising stock
• Being part of a friendly and supportive volunteer team.

Shifts are flexible – even a few hours a week can make a huge difference.

What skills do I need?

No retail experience is required – full training will be given. If you’re friendly, reliable, and enjoy helping others, you’ll fit right in.

This role is ideal for those who:

• Have good communication and people skills
• Are happy to be hands-on and organised
• Can work as part of a team or independently
• Are comfortable in a busy, customer-facing environment
• Want to contribute to a local charity supporting hospice care.
