Showground Volunteers

Volunteering for Egham Royal Show – 29th and 30th August, Caddey’s Field, Whitehall Lane, Egham

Volunteers are needed to assist with multiple activities to help the show run smoothly, including:

• Directing visitors to the ticket gate
• Selling tickets to the show and validating prepaid tickets
• Directing supplier and trader traffic onto the showground
• Selling raffle tickets around the showground
• Assisting in the show office with lost property management and distribution of tickets for free meals
• Taking visitor payments for chargeable attractions such as the flight simulator
• General liaison between different showground areas
• Litter picking

We aim not to ask anyone to spend excessive time on any one activity, but to give them opportunities for helping with several areas.

 

Volunteers are needed all day or half a day, with breaks as agreed, on one or both days.

 

The show opens at 10am and it would be very helpful if volunteers could turn up any time from 8am.

If agreed that you're only doing half a day then please turn up at the time agreed with the organisers.

All volunteers will be directed and supervised by experienced show personnel.  Meal vouchers will be provided during the show and volunteers get free entry to Show.

We seek people who will be flexible in undertaking any tasks they are asked to do as part of the team.

You must be 18 years or older to volunteer with us

 

What skills do I need?

• All skills and abilities welcome
• Some elements of show set up are quite physical (eg putting up marquees)
