Office Volunteer (SP)

CREST offers emotional and practical support and information for cancer patients, their carers, family and friends.  

The charity is run entirely by volunteers and is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join the CREST team in the following areas: 

·       Office administrators for our office in Staines, Middlesex

Office Administrators 

Would you like to experience working in an office environment, helping to assist in the smooth running of the charity? 

We are looking for assistance from half to three days per week, from volunteers happy to lend a hand in a variety of tasks, which may include: 

·       Answering the phone

·       General correspondence, email and postal

·       Mail shots

·       Database entry

·       Filing

·       Event support

·       And most importantly help with booking treatments for patients with our dedicated nurses and therapists 

Ideal candidates will be organised, with an eye for detail and with basic office skills

Training will be provided where necessary. 

The offices are located in Spelthorne Borough Council at Knowle Green. We have secured premises and a secure car park with a barrier. Disabled Bays are sign posted. They are also near entrances in to the building. The offices can be accessed by both lifts and stairs.

 The CREST Team have a wealth of knowledge, a good sense of humour and are team players. We welcome all volunteers of all walks of life and are disability friendly. We value volunteers as they are the back bone of all Charities and we could not do the work without them. We have regular volunteer meetings over a cup of coffee and a bacon roll.

 

What skills do I need?

Basic office skills, including a knowledge of Word and Excel. Good oral and written communication are important, as you will be dealing with sensitive information, so tact and discretion are required.
