Library Volunteer - Music & Drama

Do you have a few hours to spare each week?

Would you like to do something worthwhile?

If you love meeting people and want to share your love for the performing arts we want to hear from you!

Visitors to the library will need a warm welcome, and help finding what they are looking for, and we’d like you to be their first point of contact.

We also need people behind the scenes to select and package up the hired sets ready for collection or dispatch.

We also have volunteers who work in cataloguing as we continually improve the search facility and provide a fantastic service to borrowers.

We can offer you a friendly group of like-minded people and a chance to learn new skills.

What skills do I need?

A friendly, approachable personality and a positive attitude are a must for this role.

Specialist knowledge is not required, but a willingness to learn and a genuine love of the performing arts is necessary to give the best service to our users.

Details

Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sat are open days for welcome and book issuing duties. Monday and Tuesday are closed to the public, so duties available are picking, packing, cataloguing and specialist projects.
