Dorking Museum and Heritage Centre (CSVA)
Dorking Museum is looking for an enthusiastic person to oversee our volunteer recruitment and training and to keep our volunteers happy! The role involves lots of contact with people – agreeing with team leaders where they need help, ensuring they are advertised, interviewing potential volunteers (or arranging for team leaders to meet them), ensuring they are given all the information they need and training (where necessary) to start their role, and generally ensuring all our volunteers feel valued, supported and happy.
Nor formal qualifications necessary. This is a role that would suit someone who likes meeting people and is organised and able to follow up applications, arrange meet ups and filing of paperwork. The role is integral to the smooth and happy running of the museum so would suit someone who is able to listen, to make suggestions and likes problem solving and enjoys working with people.

There are no regular hours. The role involves responding to applications as and when and regular visits to the museum to get to know the team and check on how people are doing. This can be done at times to suit the volunteer.
