Group Helpers for Art Group -Ewell

Conquest Art CIO

We are a charity, inspiring people with disabilities and long-term health issues to discover their creative energy and build self confidence through art. Working at their own pace in supportive art groups, our members find both relaxation and fresh stimulus, along with the opportunity to make new friends.

All our groups are run by volunteers. Volunteers make our groups happen. So your few hours a week could make a real difference to people's lives. We are seeking group helpers to support our Ewell Group especially someone who has some kind of art experience or background.

As a volunteer you will need to be 18 or over and part of a team.

• The role will consist mainly of providing support to Conquest members as they create artistic work in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

• The role involves setting out tables, chairs, and materials at the beginning of each session and making sure that they are put away at the end.

• To provide support to the Group Leader and the volunteer team throughout the session where needed.

The Ewell group meets on Mondays from 1:00pm to 4:00pm.

* Please get in contact to find out how our groups are run and how you can get involved in the volunteer team.

What skills do I need?

• To help create a relaxed and happy atmosphere for the members of the group and encourage the creation of artistic works.

• If possible (though it is not essential that all volunteers should be able to do this) to give advice about and help with the artistic works which are being produced.

• To provide tea/coffee and refreshments for the group.

• To set out any tables, chairs and art materials and put them away at the end of each session.
