Group Helpers Oxshott (CSVA)

Conquest Art CIO

We are a charity, inspiring people with disabilities and long-term health issues to discover their creative energy and build self confidence through art. Working at their own pace in supportive groups, our members find both relaxation and fresh stimulus, along with the opportunity to make new friends.

Your few hours a week could make a real difference to people's lives. We are opening a new group in Oxshott on Wednesday, 25th February 2026. We are looking for a couple of volunteers willing to open, support and grow our new Oxshott group.

The group will be held every Wednesday from 10:00am to 12:00noon at the Oxshott Community Hub, Verrey Lane, Oxshott, Leatherhead, Surrey, KT22 0DB.

All our art groups need a team of volunteers, which have a variety of different gifts from organisational skills, artistic experience to someone dealing with the money or making the tea. But most of all we need your enthusiasm to help create a friendly welcoming environment where members feel relaxed and able to make the most of their time with us.

The helpers set up the room with art materials and clear away at the end of each session. During the group you can provide help, guidance, and artistic ideas if you can. The aim of the group is for an informal and collaborative environment in which to produce the best possible outcome for group members.

Tea, coffee, biscuits, or cake are usually served during the session.

Volunteers are the people who make Conquest Art possible.
