Funding Coordinator Volunteer

Families Thriving Together is a Charity based in Shepperton, Surrey. The role is remote

MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE

We are seeking an enthusiastic and bid writing and funding source savvy individual to join our team. In this role, you will support Families Thriving Together (FTT) in managing the vital task of sourcing funds, writing bids, coordinating funds and bids and ensuring compliance around individual funders needs are met.

This includes sending reports once funds are used, coordinating with funders, thanking funders and coordinating with our social media engagement volunteer to showcase our funders and what impact has been made.

Through your expertise in bid writing and funding, you will help amplify our mission, engage with our audience, and drive meaningful impact.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assess eligible funders
  • Develop strategies tailored to FTT
  • Make contacts and connections with funders and wider organisations to access funds
  • Write engaging and impactful funding bids tailored to each funder
  • Analytics and reporting – track and analyse the outcomes of bids and generate reports accordingly
  • Stay up to date with trends – use free training and resources to make the most of what we can do to gain funding
  • Ensure all compliant paperwork is finalised and adhered to.

What skills do I need?

QUALITIES AND EXPERIENCE, to include:

  • Strong written and visual communication skills
  • Good knowledge of bid writing and the complexities that go with that
  • Experience creating high-quality bids
  • Proficient in using relevant software and tools is not required but would be ideal
  • A good understanding of the charity's mission and goals
  • A commitment to the charity's values and a willingness to work as part of a team
  • Previous experience in funding.
