Surrey Remap (VASE)
Remap is a UK charity with 65+ branches across the country. We design and build devices for disabled people. Our engineers give their time for free. Charity funds are used to reimburse material costs and travel expenses.
Surrey Remap have a new vacancy for the voluntary position of Fund Raiser. The successful candidate will identify funding opportunities and plan funding applications. This will include attending courses and taking part in networking events that will enable the local funding landscape to be understood and from that develop an approach strategy. Then following confirmation with the management team draft funding applications.
This role will form a key role within the Surrey Remap management team and include attendance at team meetings and writing reports on fund availability and associated analyses. Because the team members’ locations are spread across a wide area of Surrey, meetings will normally be conducted via Zoom.
Specific experience in fund raising is not essential. An enquiring mind, a friendly investigative approach to business and excellent communications skills are essential.
Applicants must be 18+.
The post will require working from home with the usual computer facilities and skills associated with Microsoft Office. There are no specified working hours. The Fund Raiser may devote as many hours as are available and necessary to achieve objectives.
