Duty Officers (SH)

Lightwater Care are looking for volunteers of all ages and abilities living in Lightwater area. If you are happy talking to people and can answer a telephone we'd like to hear from you.  And if you have a car we need you!

Lightwater Care has a need for duty officers to man the phone on a weekday morning as part of a rota of other duty officers and we also need drivers to collect and drop clients off.   

Duty officers would be based in an office in the centre of Lightwater, until April when you would work from home. 

What skills do I need?

Some IT skills required to operate the booking system, however training will be given. 

Friendly and sociable character, happy to work in a team as well as independently. 

Positive outlook and tactful with all clients.

When do I need to be available?

We require Duty Officers to answer calls, coordinating with our volunteer drivers and arranging journeys for local residents who need assistance. If you can spare one morning per month answering the phone between 10am and 12 noon and are well organised, we'd love to hear from you.
