Spelthorne Volunteer Drivers (SP)
Support your community — without leaving home.
Spelthorne Volunteer Drivers are looking for friendly and organised volunteers to act as Duty Officers, helping coordinate transport for elderly and disabled residents who need lifts to vital medical appointments.
You’ll hold the charity’s mobile phone for one week in every five, answering calls between 10am and 12 noon, Monday to Friday. You’ll then contact volunteer drivers to arrange transport — this part can be done at any time of day, giving you great flexibility.
It’s a rewarding role that makes a real difference to people’s lives and helps keep our local community connected and cared for.
If you’re compassionate, calm, and a good communicator, we’d love to hear from you.
We’re looking for someone who:
| Morning | Afternoon | Evening | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Monday | |||
| Tuesday | |||
| Wednesday | |||
| Thursday | |||
| Friday | |||
| Saturday | |||
| Sunday |
The duty is from 10-12 on weekdays (although you may have to do the actual booking outside these hours) and can be arranged to be mutually convenient, although being available for a whole week at a time would be ideal!
