Complementary Therapist Volunteer (CSVA)

Wellbeing Centre offers our community and ward based patients, and their carers, a variety of treatments provided by our Complementary Therapist Volunteers. We aim to empower all to enjoy the best possible quality of life available to them, helping to maintain their independence, mobility and comfort level as far as possible.

There aren’t words to describe the difference our volunteers and their treatments make for the emotional uplift people experience in this calm and welcoming environment.

As a Complementary Therapist Volunteer, you will be sharing your expertise and delivering therapy sessions to the Hospice patients and carers.

We are looking for volunteers with Level 3 qualifications in Aromatherapy, Massage, Indian Head Massage, Reflexology, Reiki, Acupuncture and Hypnotherapy.

What skills do I need?

Have a genuine interest in working with palliative care patients

Have previous experience leading treatment sessions

Be registered with Complementary and Natural Health Council (CNHC) or another relevant professional body

Have your own personal professional insurance

Be a great communicator Show discretion and a keen awareness of confidentiality

Enjoy working as part of a team and become a member of our wider volunteer community
