Sanctuary Seeker Support Volunteer

Do you want to help others find their way in health and care?

We’re looking for volunteers with lived experience of migration, resettlement, or caring to join our new STEP Into Care project in Surrey.

Sanctuary Seeker Support Volunteers support sanctuary seekers (refugees, asylum seekers, and migrants) to:

• Register with GPs, dentists, and local care services
• Understand health appointments and paperwork
  
• Feel confident asking for help and support
  
• Build trust and connection in their new community

What You’ll Get:

What skills do I need?

Who We’re Looking For:

• Friendly, patient, and open-minded people
• Lived experience of migration, asylum, or care pathways
  
• Basic English and willingness to learn
  
• A few hours a week to give back to your community
