DEBRA (CSVA)
DEBRA UK is a national charity supporting 3,800+ members, which includes people living with EB, relatives, partners, or carers of someone with EB, healthcare professionals and researchers who work with EB. Epidermolysis bullosa (EB) is the name for a group of painful genetic skin conditions that cause the skin to become very fragile and tear or blister at the slightest touch.
DEBRA UK exists to provide care and support to improve quality of life for people living with EB, and to fund pioneering research to find effective treatments and, ultimately cure(s) for EB
We have varied retail based opportunities which are ideally suited to volunteers, where they can use their skills and also learn new ones. It is a good environment for meeting people, gaining work experience and engaging in meaningfull worthwhile occupation.
No formal qualifications but volunteers should be polite, reliable and willing to learn.
DEBRA are flexible and accomodating.
